The Summer 2016 issue of MeetMinnie magazine is now online. Here are a few notes on what's inside and what's changed at MeetMinnie since our previous issue. Thank you for reading!
If you’ve checked out the magazine in the past, or even if this is your first time, you might have noticed that MeetMinnie does not look like other magazines. This is by design. As many of you know, in December we premiered our new magazine interface. Times are changing, and we know how important it is to change with them. That’s why we decided to forego virtual pages for an index where articles, projects and picks are just a click away. We’re sad to say goodbye to pages that flip and cover art, but we hope you will find the new format to be more mobile-friendly and more user-friendly. We’re all about being friendly. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
A note to our advertisers: With this change in format comes a change in ad options. We are now offering clickable ad blocks on the MeetMinnie homepage. Click here for complete ad information and pricing. We’d love to add you to the MeetMinnie Crew!
In other news, last summer we premiered the MeetMinnie SurfShop, featuring not-so-basic wardrobe staples such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, totes, etc. in our signature designs. We’re thrilled with how it’s come together and are grateful for the support we’ve already received. We’re equally thrilled to share with you some of our latest designs, as the shop is ever growing. Shop for gear here or click here for behind-the-scenes snaps.
You’ll also notice that we’ve added to the MeetMinnie website. You can now explore the blog by category under the Explore tab and shop apparel, accessories, shoes, beauty products, home goods and swimwear we love under the Loves tab. And now, on to the issue...
In the Summer 2016 issue, we’ve focused on the simplicity of summer. Simple projects. Easy, laidback trips. Effortlessly cool picks. That's summer.
It’s no secret that we love our East Coast home. And the East Coast in summertime is both glorious and inspiring. We’ve compiled snaps from our travels up and down the coast in a photo feature we call East Coast Summer. Photos we love of the places we love. And inspiration at every click. (Oh, and now you can show your East Coast love with this East Coast Summer t-shirt, available in the MeetMinnie SurfShop.)
But it’s not all about the east. We show our love for the west with our curated shopping feature, ModernWestern.
And of course, if you are a faithful MeetMinnie reader, you’ll recognize one of our favorite features: 9 Designs. We love creating super simple DIY projects to enrich both your home and your wardrobe. In this issue you'll find projects ranging from jewelry to home goods to clothing, many of which you can complete on a rainy summer afternoon.
We'd like to extend our continued thanks to all of the family, friends, readers and supporters of MeetMinnie, notably John, Trudy and Bill. We could not do it without you.
Editor-in-Chief, MeetMinnie Magazine
P.S. A note on the upcoming publishing schedule: In an effort to help our readers make the most of seasonal content, we’ve decided to move up our publishing dates. Look for the Winter 2016/17 issue of MeetMinnie Magazine to be online by the end of November and the Summer 2017 issue to be online by the end of May. Thank you for reading!
