DIY Crushed Rock Ornaments

December 15, 2014 in PROJECTS

One of my favorite parts of the magazine is coming up with simple, new projects for our 9 Designs feature. These crushed rock ornaments, with their thoughtful blend of textures, add subtle, sophisticated sparkle to your holiday tree.

TOOLS & MATERIALS: white porcelain ornaments, black crushed rock, all-purpose glue, paintbrush, painter’s tape, disposable plate and spoon

INSTRUCTIONS: Step 1: Wrap tape around ornament to help create a clean line. Step 2: Brush glue onto ornament below tape. Step 3: Over plate, use spoon to sprinkle crushed rock onto glue, pressing rock in place to adhere. Hang to dry. Step 4: Once ornaments are dry, repeat process on any bare spots and let dry once more.

For more DIY projects like this, see our Winter 2014 issue of MeetMinnie magazine!

XO, MM.
